March 25, 2008 ~ Well it sure has been a quiet snowmobile season, considering we have had so much snow. It was unfortunate this year that we didn't have trail access. Dennis and I have planned on blazing a trail through the back, straight to Whitman Dam next summer so that we don't run into the same problems next year. We took our last guest the first week of March, as even by then the road was in terrible shape - gravel would eat right through those ski skins. In the meantime, Dennis has been busy with hunting shows and is already counting down the 5 months until hunting season. He is really excited to be doing the combo lodge/remote hunt and is planning on being in the bush most of the summer the way he is talking. This combo hunt is going to help us access some of our bear management area that we haven't even touched in the 8 years we have been doing this. Which means we should have even more bear sitings by our hunters. Dennis was at 3 shows - Grand Rapids, Mount Clemens and Columbus. We also stopped in at the Lansing show to catch up with Team Backwoods to see how their video promotion were going. Team Backwoods will be back again this season to do some more filming, and we hope that they have as much success this year as they did last season. Anyone thinking of hunting, give us a call 1-877-435-8917 or email us for further information: wabostrailsend@xplornet.com So until next, Dennis and I are just waiting for all this snow to melt................Dee
