Customs Information

Citizens and legal residents of the United States should carry passports, birth certificates and/or driver’s license – which shows your citizenship just incase you are asked for it when leaving or re-entering the United States.
A visitor entering Canada from any other country other than the United States require a valid passport and in some cases a visitor’s visa. The Canadian Immigration offices, embassies and consulates issue visas.
Visitors should be aware that entry to Canada may be denied for those with previous criminal convictions and before making reservations individuals should check with custom officials. In Canada a previous conviction for alcohol related offences, i.e. driving under the influence is considered a criminal offence and entry may be denied.
Any questions about entry to Canada may be addressed to: Canada Immigration Centre, Ottawa Employment and Immigration Centre, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0J9 or by Calling Customs Information: 705-941-3063.
